OUR HISTORY
SAMMLER B. MICHALOPOULOS AEBE is a Greek industrial company specializing in the production of solar thermal systems. It was founded in 1975 by Mr. Vasilis Michalopoulos in Kokkinos Millos, Acharnon, as a result of his desire to expand his professional activities.
The Company was founded in Athens – Greece. The first production unit was located in the Acharnes and was placed on an area of 200 sq.m. however, production requirements multiplied and so in 2005 the factory was moved to Aspropyrgos, in a larger production area (1000 sq.m.) in order to meet the increased needs of the market. Due to the continuous increase in demand for solar thermal products, the company moved again to an even larger area (40,000 sq.m.) in Pyli Viotia in its own privately facilities with modern production units and automated monitoring systems, where it is based until today.
However, the second son of the founder of the company, Harrys Michalopoulos, who took over the management in 2004, was the one who radically changed the history and course of the company. In a very short period of time, Harrys Michalopoulos gained a wealth of experience in international trade and sales, while at the same time he also has a technical background as a mechanical engineer.He is the President of Technical Committee TC312 which is responsible for the European Standards of solar thermal systems, Vice President of the Solar Energy Industries Association (SIE) and member of the Board of Directors of the Global Solar Certification Network (GSCN).
As a manufacturing company of solar thermal systems with many years of experience in the industry, it creates innovative solutions with the primary goal of maximum performance and the quality of its products. For this reason, it installed and maintains to this day a Quality Assurance System, which meets all the requirements of the EN ISO9001 standard. The system was integrated into the company’s procedures in 1998 and SAMMLER V. MICHALOPOULOS SA is one of the first solar systems companies to be certified based on this standard.
In 2005, the company changed its strategy and based on its high product quality and specialized expertise, it was not difficult to penetrate into European markets such as Austria, Italy, Spain, Portugal, United Kingdom, etc. More than 90% of production activity is exported to more than 40 countries worldwide covering all 5 continents, proudly exceeding all expectations, enjoying international recognition. With quality, reliability and its global profile as its main weapons, it stars beyond Europe and in other highly competitive markets such as those of the Middle East, Latin America and Asia.
A decisive role in the development of the products was played by the company’s partners, both in the research and in the executive sector. Every production and management employee is trained and trained periodically in order to achieve maximum customer satisfaction and environmental protection.The key for the production of quality products is the choice of raw materials, of high quality and durability. For this reason, the company chose suppliers, mainly from Europe, who offer the best quality.
Finally, it is also worth mentioning that SAMMLER B. MICHALOPOULOS SA is one of the founding members of EBEE (Association of Solar Energy Industries), is a member of ESTIF (European Solar Thermal Industry Federation), while in general it plays an active role in shaping the European and national strategy for energy issues and thus manages to constantly expand its activities to new certified products, always following the motto:
